Frequently asked
Answers to the common questions.
What can I expect in our first session?
Our first meeting is about getting to know your story and your goals. It's a low-pressure space to see how we click and to begin mapping out the path forward together.
How much does counseling cost?
Standard session rate is offered at $70 per session. A sliding-scale option may be available — just ask during our consultation.
Do you take insurance?
I currently operate as an out-of-network provider. I can provide a Superbill for you to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. Good Faith Estimates are provided for all services.
Is counseling virtual or in-person?
Both — in-person in Livingston, TX and secure telehealth for residents anywhere in Texas. Clients must be physically located in Texas at the time of session.
What is your cancellation policy?
You get one free cancellation with less than 24 hours' notice. After that, cancellations under 24 hours are charged the full session fee. This lets me hold your time and offer openings to others when possible.
Who do you typically work with?
Women, teens, and college students navigating anxiety, depression, self-esteem, life transitions, and the quiet weight of holding it all together.
How long is each session?
Standard individual counseling sessions are 50 minutes. Extended 80-minute sessions are available on request for deeper work or intensives.
Do you offer sliding-scale rates?
A limited number of sliding-scale spots are reserved for clients who need them. Financial access shouldn't be a barrier to care — please ask if you need one.
Do you work with teens and minors?
Yes. I work with adolescents and teens with a parent or guardian's consent. Sessions are collaborative and confidentiality is discussed clearly with both the teen and their family up front.
Do you integrate faith into counseling?
Faith is welcome in the room if it's part of your life — never required, never imposed. I meet you exactly where you are on your spiritual journey.
Do you prescribe medication?
No — as a Licensed Professional Counselor I do not prescribe. When medication support is helpful, I'll refer you to a trusted psychiatric provider and coordinate care with your consent.
Is telehealth in Texas secure and HIPAA-compliant?
Yes. Telehealth sessions are conducted through a HIPAA-compliant video platform. You'll need a private space and a stable internet connection.
